Former Patriots quarterback and NFL GOAT, Tom Brady, recently brokered a deal to sell his Miami mansion property on Indian Creek Island for a reported sum of $150 million. Sources close to the 48 year-old, who is now working in the media as an analyst with NFL on FOX alongside Kevin Burkhardt – the pair often cover FOX's primetime slot as the number one crew, cited that the transaction was heavily linked to his emotional wellbeing.
"It gets him down" a source noted. Brady, who divorced his wife, Gisele Bündchen in 2022, after 13 years of marriage. The couple purchased the property in 2020 while Brady was playing in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers. It is stated that Brady wanted to distance himself from the reminder of the relationship that broke down, coupled with the news that Giselle and her new partner, Joaquim Valente, who was her jujitsu coach while Bündchen and Brady were still married, have recently welcomed a new baby, and purchased a home in the neighborhood where she used to share a home with Brady.
The transaction is evidence of Brady's desire to cut ties with his former wife and to not expose himself to have to watch his onetime soulmate's new life play out across the water. The two had developed the property and viewed it as a forever base for their lives to play out together with the two children they share and Brady's other son, Jack, who he had in a prior relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
Brady is now said to be focused on starting afresh and fulfilling his role as father to his three children. The former two-time NFL MVP is prioritizing his family life, while setting clear emotional boundaries with his now ex-wife, and his personal growth which involves significant strives to emotionally heal. Despite the heartbreaking grief of the lost marriage, Brady hopes to proceed with his life and move on in a healthy manner.
