Slight Improvement But Still Significant Room For Betterment For Patriots On NFLPA Report Card
Share
The New England Patriots showed improvement in several areas of their annual NFL Players Association report card, but the team still received poor marks in three key categories. According to ESPN, New England earned an “F” for team travel, a “D” for their home game field, and a “D+” for their food and dining area. While the dining grade slipped from a “C” in 2025, team travel remained an “F” for the second straight year.
Other areas received more favorable evaluations. The Patriots were graded highly for coaching, including an “A” for head coach and offensive coordinator, an “A-” for strength coaches, and a “B+” for the special teams coordinator and general manager. Ownership also saw a significant jump, improving from a “D” last year to a “B-” this year. Treatment of families and the nutritionist/dietician both earned “B” grades, while facilities such as the locker room, training room, and weight room landed in the “C” range.
Team travel continues to be a major concern among players. Complaints about the team plane: described as too small, lacking Wi-Fi, and even having ashtrays in the armrests, contributed to the failing grade. Meanwhile, owner Robert Kraft’s improved grade follows a pivotal year in which he fired Jerod Mayo after one season and hired Mike Vrabel, a move that resulted in a 14-3 record and a Super Bowl LX appearance.

Unlike previous years, there was no public explanation accompanying the grades. Earlier this month, the National Football League won a grievance against the National Football League Players Association, ruling that the public release of the grades violated the collective bargaining agreement.
